AHP tests are for active infection, not antibodies, and are available to anyone who is asymptomatic OR has mild symptoms of COVID-19 (fever under 101, mild cough, sore throat, loss of taste or smell, mild congestion, nausea or diarrhea, muscle or body aches, fatigue, runny nose) and has an insurance we take ( Check here ) . If you have severe symptoms (bluish or cold/clammy skin, shortness of breath, chest pain, new confusion/disorientation, seizures, or difficulty speaking/breathing/moving/staying awake) seek emergency treatment immediately . Sick children do not need an appointment, but please call ahead before you visit. Asymptomatic children and adults need an appointment. We have appointments available during the day, evenings, weekends, and even holidays! Appointments are usually available within two days . Children are prioritized and there may be same day appointments available for them. Appointments are prioritized for pediatric patients, patients who have had a known COVID-19 exposure, patients who live in households with healthcare workers, first responders, frontline workers (cashiers, bus drivers, waitresses, etc), or high-risk individuals (over 65, underlying medical conditions). While we cannot guarantee a turnaround time, our lab generally has results in 2-5 days after your visit, plus 1 extra day for tests on Saturday or Sunday. During weeks where there is a surge in cases, results can take up to 6 days. We apologize if there is a delay. COVID-19 tests are billed through your insurance provider. We bill for an office visit and an independent lab bills for the test. Your insurance provider may require a deductible or co-pay. Many patients are able to submit a receipt for reimbursement, so please contact your insurance provider with any questions regarding the price of testing. If you are bringing a sick child in for Urgent Care, you can come anytime. If you are visiting for a COVID test, please email preferred date(s) and time(s) for your test along with your insurance card and we will get back to you to confirm an appointment slot. All phone calls related to COVID-19 testing must be directed to 650-410-0822 . For regular Urgent Care, you can continue to call 650-579-6581. Most major health insurances are accepted. Our billing office manages the entire process with your insurance company. Our staff is kind, caring and dedicated.
